TERME Situated at 166m above sea level at the foot of the Apennines, Tabiano Terme has a strategic geographical position both because it is easily reachable by car and train owing to practical links, and because of the mild climate during the whole year, dry and windy in summer, mild in winter. Its notoriety results from the extraordinary properties of its water which, thanks to the very high hydrosulphuric percentage and the high calcium content - combined with other precious components (carbon dioxide, litium, magnesium, iron, etc.) - is considered among the most effective in Europe. It was already well-known in the seventeenth century. Today, the water of Tabiano is used in Respighi Thermal Baths, which have been expanded and modernised, for respiratory cures and for the ear, throat, nose and skin care. There is a diagnostic service in the thermal spa, plus a laboratory, a new dermatology and thermal aesthetic medical centre. |
